Sam is a former Royal Marines Commando who spent 5 years in the Royal Navy. After sustaining an injury while serving, Sam was medically discharged from the Royal Marines in 2017. After spending time in multiple military rehabilitation centres working with Sport Therapist, Doctors and Physios, Sam decided he wanted to pursue a new career in healthcare.

Sam completed his undergraduate degree in BSc Sports Therapy (Hons) from Bournemouth University in 2020, where he gained valuable experience working in both football and rugby, clubs such as AFC Bournemouth Woman's first team, where he was head therapist and with Yorkshires own Bradford Bulls, spending a summer as an intern helping the men's first team along with the academy players.

After finishing his undergraduate degree and returning to Yorkshire, Sam wanted a further challenge and completed his post graduate degree MSc in Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, here he gained experience in MSK Outpatients, Respiratory physiotherapy in ICU, Stroke rehabilitation both on a ward setting and in the community.

Since completing his Masters degree Sam secured a job in the NHS, working for Calderdale & Huddersfield Foundation Trust. Here he completed rotations in MSK Outpatients and went on to work on the Trauma & Orthopaedic ward's at HRI.

In 2024, Sam decided to pursue a new challenge and start his own company, Huddersfield Home Physiotherapy, where he has the flexibility of being his own boss and is able to see clients in their own home environment where they achieve the best results.
